Last week our P7 class enjoyed an informative field trip to An Tobar Wellness Centre, Silverbridge.
They had a great opportunity to connect with nature whilst learning about biodiversity, environment, ecosystems
and habitats.
Our excellent guides Una and Margaret led us through Brian's Wood and showed us the importance of native
trees like the oak, birch, rowan and willow.
We learned about the history of Ireland's natural landscape and the geology of the Ring Of Gullion.
Una shared her extensive knowledge of The Famine and also told us stories from Celtic myths and legend.
The children just loved collecting eggs on the farm and meeting the Vietnamese Pot Bellied pigs!
It's so good to have a resource like this on the school's doorstep! We'll be back soon!
