We were delighted to welcome Judith West from Smokebusters / Cancer Focus, virtually this afternoon as she gave our pupils a chat around the dangers of smoking and vaping. The chat focused on how to say no to being offered a vape or a cigarette using one of four different strategies:
- using humour to say no
- changing the subject
- refusing and walking away
- warning the person about the dangers
I'm sure you'll agree that this is an important message to share with our pupils and one which we will reinforce at different times throughout the year.
