New St Michael's House System Launched

Newly elected Eco-Committee and Pupil Council members from Key Stages 1 and 2 received their badges this week from Ms Carragher and Ms Quinn. Mr Mone presented Prefect badges to two Primary 7 pupils who will represent the school at various events throughout the school year. The new St Michael's House System was also launched. Children were divided into five different houses named after local townlands, Tullyvallen, Cavanakill, Carrickacullion, Altnamackin and Ballintemple. Children received a different coloured badge to represent their house and House Captains were selected from the Primary 7 class, who will also act as 'Buddies' for the younger members of their respective House Teams. Each House Team will work together throughout the year to gain marks for their house for excellent work, achievement, improvement, good manners, excellent behaviour and participation in various tasks and competitions.
