On Saturday 20th May, our seven P.4 children celebrated the sacrament of First Holy Communion in St Michael's chapel in Newtownhamilton. Our communicants- Lauren, Phelim, Lucy, Liam, Leah, Jayden and Evie were very excited to receive the sacrament and completed all their roles throughout the service brilliantly. Our music and singing was provided by the very talented Niamh Noade and complimented the service beautifully. The mass was celebrated by Cannon Toner who commented on how well the children participated during the mass.
The children and their families were welcomed into the Rural Hall afterwards where they celebrated with delicious cake and refreshments thanks to the Parents Association.
Many thanks to all involved in making First Holy Communion such a special day for our pupils.
