Easter News and Prize giving

5th Apr 2023

We have had a very busy morning here in St Michael's P.S as we had lots of prizes from our competitions to give out. We started our assembly with Mrs. Dodgson announcing the winners of the Literacy Writing Competition, well done to: P1/2- Barry and Ciara, P3- Ronan, P4- Leah, P5- Saoirse, P6- Charlie, P7- Emily. The standard of entries was so high, many others were commended for their efforts also!

We then had author, Bernie Muckian, in to announce the winners of an illustration competition for her new book. Congratulations to: Klaudija, Ani, Anna, Charlie, Adam and Daniel for amazing illustrations of a variety of animals.

After a busy week of Guess the Easter Egg competition, we announced our winner with the correct guess of 181 eggs, Ruby in P3! Well done Ruby and enjoy all those eggs! Runners up, with very near guesses, were Laura in P4, Darragh in P5 and Lea in P7. Well done and thank you to everyone that took part in the competition. A special word of thanks to Mace shop for contributing prizes for the Easter Raffle!

Finally, congratulations to our winning House, the Roald Dahl House, with the most house points this term. Each member of the team received a prize.

Every pupil in the school also very kindly received an egg from Eta Gibney from Newtownhamilton Community Association. A big thank you from all our pupils!

As always, thank you to our school family and friends for their continued support and participation in all aspects of our school. It is always much appreciated.

Have a well deserved, restful Easter Break from everyone in St Michael's P.S.
